05 May, 2004:  Germany based Kosmo Records welcomes Sonique

After being dropped by Universal Music, Sonique has signed to Kosmo Records in Germany. She is already working with a crew of international top producers to record an album which is scheduled for release in autumn 2004.

Rype Promotions, in conjunction with Fresh Music Agency, will be the hosts of an event being held at Axis this Friday evening, featuring world-renowned Deejay Sonique.

Rype Promotions are promoters of the Friday and Saturday Brassmonkey nights, and organisers of the much sought-after Joy series of parties, including the successful Joy Classix event held last month, which attracted a good number of clubbers.

The Venue, Axis discotheque is renowned for its incredible sound system and ambience. A must for lovers of dance music. Axis has hosted special DJ party events that have seen Europe's best DJs such as Judge Jules, Sonique, Sash, Francesco Zappalla, Graham Gold, and members of The Ministry of Sound.

This is set to be an incredible night with a live set from Sonique at Axis - featuring her beautiful vocals over the records she spins. She is supported by a large local lineup.

It's time for the first wild water dance party of the year on Saturday, February 28 from 10am at the next Splash at Centurion in Pretoria with guest DJs Sonique and Benny Benassi (everyone knows Satisfaction by now). DJ Bossi of Cosmic Gate also features, as well as a host of others, including Surge, Roger Goode, Speedy, Bliss Sound System and Leo on three floors (main, house and funky classics).

Tickets are R140 (VIP R200) at the usual outlets and Computicket or R160 (VIP R220) at the gate. The afterparty is at Nexus in Randburg (discount with armband).

A gig at Dockside in Cape Town with Sonique and Benny Benassi is announced for the same night.
